P&R Power Systems provided RIBA Stage 4 to 7 engineering design, commissioning and quality assurance support for a new 80 MVA 132/11 kV grid yard development.
Our scope included multi-discipline high voltage consultancy and detailed design across primary systems, protection control and earthing, ensuring full compliance with NGET technical specifications, ENA standards and the Electricity at Work Regulations. This included the independent technical assurance of the substation earthing system providing analysis and coordination with the wider site and third-party interfaces.
During construction and commissioning, we provided ongoing technical support, design compliance reviews, and QA oversight, ensuring that the installed works reflected the design intent and that all safety-critical systems were correctly implemented, tested and documented. This included review of as-built documentation, commissioning procedures, test results and final handover packs.
